First of all here wishing everyone a very Happy New Year and I hope it brings about a great change for all those who had a s****y 2011

For those wondering about my whereabouts honestly with everything happening around me and the helplessness of not being able to change it made me disinterested in everything.

I began thinking like a coward

Trash on streets…ok
Political gutter…so what
Fuel prices hiked…lets carry on
so on and so forth

But I feel keeping quiet is not the answer and I gotta speak up.

So here I am…back in familiar surroundings…in the Bloggers battlefield where my keyboard and fingers are my weapon and my words are the attacks I make.

Yes Yes we’ve won a good amount of gold and silver in the ongoing CWG games…but is that enough.Rather than resting on these laurels our sports administrators must allow the athletes to prepare for the Olympics with full devotion and must give them a free hand to practice.
Politics and Red Tape never brought any good to any country let alone sports, so all the politicians should just BACK OFF and let the players prepare with the best use of these newly acquired facilities for the CWG.

Thanks to the role of media, this country is finally is waking up to other sports besides Cricket.

New Delhi, Sep 21 (PTI) Piling on the embarrassment for the organisers, Commonwealth Games Federation Chief Executive Mike Hooper today termed the Athletes Village as “filthy and uninhabitable” but hoped that with CGF President Michael Fennell”s intervention, the mess would be sorted out in the next two days. “Predominantly the issue is of cleanliness of the towers in the residential zone.

The matter came to our attention when we paid a preliminary visit to the Games Village on September 15 along with some representatives of the advanced parties of Commonwealth Games Associations (CGA),” Hooper told reporters at a press conference here. “Ever since Sep 15, we along with CGAs met on daily basis.

We also held meetings with OC officials and emphasised the importance of addressing the issue of cleanliness of the Village, which I have to say in many towers are filthy and uninhabitable as stated by Mr Fennel,” he added. Hooper”s comments came after an advanced party from New Zealand, Canada, Scotland and Ireland raised serious concerns regarding the hygiene in the residential zone of the Games Village.

No sooner it came to light, CGF President Fennell came out with a strongly-worded statement, wherein he criticised the Organising Committee for the mess and said he had written to the Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar, expressing his concerns about the athletes accommodation. Hooper, however, hoped that with Fennell”s intervention the matter would be resolved at the earliest.

“As a consequence of that, I informed the matter to Mr Fennel and he took up the matter with higher authorities in India. Basically, we needed to elevate this matter further to ensure the athletes get what they deserve, which is a Village that provides them the best-possible environment to prepare for the Games,” he said.

The condition of the Delhi and the shambolic Commonwealth Games is not something you guys are not aware of, Yeah its on news for the last 20 days.When these idiots heading Civic Bodies were supposed to start building the infrastructure, they were busy demolishing buildings and houses as part fo the so called “Master Plan”. Yeah it is Commonwealth as in Common Man’s wealth is being hoarded by these bast**ds (pardon my language) but its too much to bear.

Just once people, Just once…Do not vote the next time…give an ultimatum to the local MLA if something is not right, talk to to your MCD Councillor if the road outside your house or in your neighborhood are broken or if trash is not cleared from your roads. Mind you, its you kids who are prone to malaria and dengue if the trash is not cleared, its your wife and your parents who are at risk of falling and getting injured because of potholed roads.Tell it to those people who at every election beg for your votes with big promises and then forget about it.

Tell them that you won’t vote, tell them that they will have to work and give results if they want your vote, you are not desperate for them, its them who want you and your votes. Make use of the sole power you have in this nation.

I’ve never voted in my life and I do not plan to waste my vote on these parasites.Your hard earned money is being hoarded by these white Kurta Wearing criminals and the Civic Bodies (when they themselves do not do civilized work and every monsoon the shoddy roadwork is open to see) Open your eyes to the reality.

We are going to be a laughing stock of the world because of these people who we blindly trust to build future of the country, when in reality they are destroying it to the fullest.

Please take action and spread the word if you are a true Indian!

Yesterday while catching an early morning flight to Mumbai, I saw a book store at the Airport.Had a look at a couple of magazines, while one magazine higlighted the Commonwealth Games plight of Delhi the other one had BP’s oil woes on the cover and Home Minister P.Chidambram on the cover page of another weekly magazine.Looking at these I thought to myself how do I spend my next two hours on the flight and then decided to go for one problem at a time rather than buying all three magazines. My decision was to give, BP oil spill a skip, which mind you is more important to America and its fishes that handling the case of Warren Andersen who mass murdered 20,000 people in Bhopal, nor did P.Chidambram’s meaningless agenda on terror (considering he hasn’t done anything so far) appeal to me, so I thought to myself…sorry Mr.Chidambram, maybe you really do something for the country first and then you might be something to read about.
Commonwealth Games is the new media favorite with, the magazine aptly titled…SHAME GAMES…was my pick, and for the reason, kindly read me previous blog entries.

81 days to go till the Commonwealth Games are opened to the world with India showcasing their infrastructural skills.Apart from the Commonwealth Games there’s nothing to cheer about for the Indian Masses.

Same water logging after rains, same broken roads and broken dividers, beggars swarming the city like plague, trash on city’s streets, same old excuses by the civic bodies for not doing their jobs, playing blame games with each other, same old story with the ministers just wanting to fill their pockets with money and change parties rather than changing face of the nation..same old story.

WHY DO WE CALL OURSELVES ADVANCED IS BEYOND MY IMAGINATION?

Here is a city like Delhi which wants to host a big sporting event, with no means to support it (roads,stadiums,hygienic environment,public toilets,dustbins and most importantly civilized people who love their city) a city where people do not have enough civic amenities like public washrooms and still openly urinate, no dustbins in sight for long distances, so people openly throw garbage on streets which the respective civic bodies do not clean.

Forget Delhi, here is a country like India, where people who get civilian as well as national honors, even if they do not deserve it (Sania Mirza who is ranked no. 132 in the world got her Padma Shri Award in 2006 while a veteran actress and dancer like Helen got it in 2009 and Saina Nehwal who is ranked no.3 in the world has not got it yet despite winning one title after another),while the world was rejoicing the Spain’s World Cup, we were still discussing Telangana and political mind games of the ministers, while the world is preparing itself for global fuel crisis and taking it seriously, we are hiking the rates every week, while people across the world are more vocal about the their problems we are sitting in the comfort of our homes watching Dhoni surpassing Sachin by becoming 200 crore man or drive our cars on the same broken road which was broken 6 months back as well.

We pay the taxes and yet the Diplomatic area of Chanakyapuri or Simon Bolivar Road gets best roadwork done with flowers and around, green grass, cleaner environment while East and West Delhi get a step-motherly treatment.

Speak up people Speak up before these political parties destroy our country like termites,speak up before corruption destroys the dreams of the founding fathers of the nation, raise your voice…its high time.
